My Top 3 Must Have Daily Skincare Products

Summer is coming to an end and the colder weather is starting to creep in so there is no better time for me to feature my top 3 non-negotiable skincare products every woman needs in her skincare regime.

Anyone who is familiar with my Instagram grid (over at @dreambeautybyaoc) will know I’ve been doing #dreamrecommends product reviews and recommendations for the last 8 months or so. I’ve been discussing the products I use and love, I started with skincare and worked through all the various types of makeup. I’ve now come to the end of my original list, so I thought I’d pull a few of those posts together so you can have the products I love in one place. This is my go-to list of my top threeskincare products every woman needs in her skincare regime and features my fave skincare brands: Emma Hardie, Skinician and Embryolisse.

  1. Emma Hardie Skincare

Starting with this Emma Hardiebalm cleanser. I really love a balm for a first cleanse, and yes, you should be cleansing twice every time. The way I look at it is this, the first cleanse is removing your makeup, and the second cleanse is what is actually cleaning your skin. I’ve tried a lot of balms out over the last few years, and there’s always just the one I come back to every single time.  @emmahardieskincare Moringa Cleansing Balm is my absolute favourite but a tad pricey. It literally just melts your makeup, and a tiny bit goes a long way – and at £47 that helps! It smells incredible too, which is always a great bonus! A brief mention goes to the Bodyshop Chamomile Cleansing Butteras a more purse-friendly alternative starting from £5!

  1. Skinician

Skinican is a fairly new brand in skincare but is favoured by a lot of professional skincare specialists. I love the 3 in 1 skincare set from last year’s Christmas collection. I imagine that something very similar will be available this year again. I started using @skinician last year when I became the first freelance makeup artist to have access to the range, both to use in my kit and to sell! This previously professional salon-only brand ticks all my boxes.

  • Home-grown:(it’s NI born and bred, from the makers of @heshiexceptionaltan)
  • Reasonably Priced:this Christmas Gift Set retails for only £35, even though it’s worth almost twice that! Shameless plug – give me a shout if you want on my pre-order list for this year’s offering!
  • Smells amazing -soft and not overpowering scents, but still perfect for use on even the most sensitive of skin.
  • Most importantly – It actually works. This set has been a skincare game changer for me. There’s products suitable for dry to normal skin, and another set for normal to oily skin.
  • No nasties – Paraben free, and full of natural ingredients and antioxidants, Skinician definitely “does what it says on the tin”

  1. Embryolisse

This product is my favourite moisturiser EVER! The EmbryolisseLait-Crème Concentré is like a big drink of water for the skin! Ever since I saw my makeup artist buddy the super-talented @maidbysineadbridalmakeup using it in a Facebook live video, it’s been a staple in my kit! It also works as a fantastic makeup primer, I use it under basically every makeup application. It’s super hydrating without being greasy, and the 75ml tube lasts absolutely ages! I usually pick it up for around £14 when it is on offer so very reasonably priced.

There you have it guys, my first blog post in a while. I hope you’ve enjoyed it, and that you find it useful. I’d love to hear if you’ve tried any of the products mentioned, and your thoughts. Also, let me know if there’s any holy grail skincare products of yours that I’ve missed out on!

I’m hoping to make blogging a more regular occurrence now that I’ve finally got a bit of time to myself! Suggestions for what you would like to read about are always welcome! Now to get myself organised to go do another school run – a mumpreneur’s life is always busy!!
